Peroneal Tendon PT

My foot/ankle has calmed down a bit and is not hurting as much, so I did some peroneal tendon physical therapy exercises today. I think I will also go for a swim and work more on the swim drills I learned last night. And if my foot is still feeling ok after all that I will probably bike on the trainer for 30 min. or so. I’m anxious to get back to running, but also want to make sure this isn’t a prolonged nagging injury like it has been for the last month or so already. From what I’ve read, it sounds like I may not have to stop running altogether with conservative treatment. Let’s hope that’s the case! :)

(If anyone is interested in more explanation on some of these exercises just let me know and I’ll send the info over!)

Thanks for this post. My ankle has been bugging me a bit lately. I’ve had peronial tendon problems in the past. Hope you are feeling better.

About Moe

I love to continually challenge myself both physically and mentally. I recently started doing triathlons and running races and am hooked! I started this blog to help motivate and keep me accountable as I trained for my first ever half ironman (70.3) triathlon.  I successfully accomplished that and now have my sights set on even bigger goals - That's right, the real deal here folks!  I'm registered for the 2009 Ironman Coeur d'Alene on June 21.  Oh boy, I think I've lost my mind! Please help motivate, encourage, and inspire me so I can make it to the finish line! In return, I can only hope that by writing about my journey I can help to inspire at least 1 other person to make the move to a healthier more active lifestyle....and to take on their own challenges in life....whatever they may be!
