Run - 2 hours - 01/31/2009

Thanks to Mitch, Shelley, Denver, & Beans for the fun run today!  Coffee afterwards and meeting Erin & Peter was great!  Long runs are way more enjoyable with new friends and some conversation to pass the time.  Looking forward to the next one and more funny stories like drunken biking and snot rockets!  :)

The 12 miles today also pushed me right to 100 miles total for the month!  Wahoo!  Thanks guys for helping me hit the 100 mark the last day of the month!

Run - 0.8 hours - 01/30/2009

Intertervals - 400m, 800m, 1200m, 1600m all at 75% HR, followed by another round of 1600m (at 75%), 1200m at 80%, 800m at 85% and 400 at 90%.

My hamstring started to act up a bit since I just had another Graston treatment this morning, so I didn’t push it and called the interval session good after the last 1200m and finished up with an easy 9:30 min/mile pace.

About Moe

I love to continually challenge myself both physically and mentally. I recently started doing triathlons and running races and am hooked! I started this blog to help motivate and keep me accountable as I trained for my first ever half ironman (70.3) triathlon.  I successfully accomplished that and now have my sights set on even bigger goals - That's right, the real deal here folks!  I'm registered for the 2009 Ironman Coeur d'Alene on June 21.  Oh boy, I think I've lost my mind! Please help motivate, encourage, and inspire me so I can make it to the finish line! In return, I can only hope that by writing about my journey I can help to inspire at least 1 other person to make the move to a healthier more active lifestyle....and to take on their own challenges in life....whatever they may be!
