Time to come back?

Oh my goodness I have been gone for a looooong time!  What can I say, after Ironman I needed a severe break and what I thought would be a month or maybe 2 turned into 6 long months!  yikes!  Now I haven’t been a complete slacker, but have been busy with work, friends & family, a couple of new hobbies, and the occasional workout.  I also managed to complete the USAT certified coaching level 1 course this fall, in hopes of dabbling a bit more in the coaching arena.  I love helping first-timers and those that are setting goals simply to challenge themselves.

Anyway, it is a new year and time for me to get back at it!  Unfortunately I managed to start Jan. 1 with my first cold in 4 years!  ack!

Special thanks to those who checked in on me periodically to see if I was ok!  Mitch, Shelley, Peter, Slow, bigdave, xr4000, and more.  I’m still here!  And hopefully ready to get back into the swing of things!

I need to plan a race calendar for 2010…hmm.

Happy New Year everyone!  (Maybe my resolution should be to finish my race report from IMCDA 2009, huh?)  ;-)

I’ve given up all hopes of any kind of race report. :-) HAHA! Kidding! Welcome “back”. Looking forward to “getting in the grove” as well.

About Moe

I love to continually challenge myself both physically and mentally. I recently started doing triathlons and running races and am hooked! I started this blog to help motivate and keep me accountable as I trained for my first ever half ironman (70.3) triathlon.  I successfully accomplished that and now have my sights set on even bigger goals - That's right, the real deal here folks!  I'm registered for the 2009 Ironman Coeur d'Alene on June 21.  Oh boy, I think I've lost my mind! Please help motivate, encourage, and inspire me so I can make it to the finish line! In return, I can only hope that by writing about my journey I can help to inspire at least 1 other person to make the move to a healthier more active lifestyle....and to take on their own challenges in life....whatever they may be!
