About Moe
I love to continually challenge myself both physically and mentally.
I recently started doing triathlons and running races and am hooked! Here will be the tales of my journey training for my first Half Ironman and beyond.
I’m hoping that this blog will help keep me motivated so I can realize my goals.
I love the feeling of pushing my body to the limits and accomplishing my goals…whether it be a PR or simply to finish the race. My next major goal is the Lake Steven’s 70.3 Ironman on July 6, 2008.
So far I’ve only done 2 sprint tri’s and 1 Olympic distance tri, and I am taking on this Half Ironman journey solo (no training buddies crazy enough to join me), so in order to help keep myself motivated and hold myself accountable I’ve decided to keep track of my work-outs and write about them in this blog. I get inspired when reading about others’ training ups and downs and the emotional highs in their race reports.
My hope is that by writing about my journey I can help to inspire at least 1 other person to make the move to a healthier more active lifestyle….and to take on their own challenges in life….whatever they may be!

I was only trying to sound catchy in the blog title. In fact, I’m a pretty young 30! I teach high school, so the kids keep me young. I say middle age is somewhere around 50!

dehiker - I figured…I was just giving you crap for calling yourself “middle-aged”! It is a catchy blog title, but when I looked at it I expected it to be some 50+ year old, not someone my age!

Hi again….. Looks like your training is going well. I wanted to see if you were intrested in getting together for a run or track wokout in Seattle sometime this weeke or next. I think we are comparable in pace. Drop me a note on my blog and maybe we can get something arranged.
I can do anything from 800s to long slow.

Moe, I was looking for support due to a recent Peroneal tendonitis injury. This is only a week old and is okay if I do “NOTHING” for exercise.
Wondering how this is fairing for you, especially with swimming. I am trying to work around my injury and have only swam once and next day was in agony.
Is your injury “better”, working with you, etc.
Thanks,
Ruth
